Welcome To Afro Aussie Women In Business

Background

Afro Aussie Women in Business was formed to create a community of women who own independent businesses and those who aspire to be in business in Australia and beyond.

With a commitment to furthering purpose-led female businesses, supporting them to thrive and to extend our positive impacts within the community we embrace smart networking  that births collaboration and expansion.

As migrant women, we all face unique challenges and intersecting forms of discrimination based on gender, race, and other identities.

Our vision will address issues such as racial and gender-based violence, economic disparities, limited access to resources,

By offering mentorship programs, leadership development initiatives, networking opportunities, and advocacy campaigns.

Diversity Statement

At Afro Aussie Women in Business, we are committed to fostering an environment where diversity is not only recognized but celebrated. We believe that the unique perspectives and experiences of African-Australian women are invaluable assets to the business landscape.

Our organization stands on the pillars of inclusivity, equity, and empowerment. We strive to create a space where women of African descent in Australia can freely express their cultural identities, share their experiences, and contribute their diverse skills and insights.

We acknowledge the challenges faced by African-Australian women in the business sector and are dedicated to dismantling barriers that hinder their progress. Our approach involves actively promoting equal opportunities, providing resources and support for professional growth, and advocating for fair representation in all levels of business.

Inclusivity for us means not just the inclusion of diverse individuals, but also the integration of diverse perspectives in our decision-making processes, strategies, and initiatives. We understand that a truly inclusive environment is one where differences are respected, voices are heard, and everyone feels valued and empowered.

We are committed to continuous learning and improvement in our diversity practices and encourage open dialogue within our community to better understand and address the needs of our members.

By championing diversity, Afro Aussie Women in Business aims to not only enhance the experiences and opportunities of our members but also to contribute positively to the broader business community in Australia.
